Below are 4 photos of pottery from India. Look at the images and tell me why you might identify the ceramics as Indian. Your homework is due Friday, Feb. 17th.

The distintive colors and patterns are something that you emidiately look at and see that are things that Indian potters use. A lot of flowers and animals are portrayed, I think that might have to do with their culture and religion which mmostly is Buddhism and Hinduism. In those religions they tell you to love the nature and animals, so I guess that is a big factor in Indian pottery.

I would identify these 4 pottery pieces from India because they all share the same colors which are greens, whites, blues, and yellows and they also all have some sort of flower on each piece. I also see that each piece has a vintage look.

what really stands out as indian to me, is again the color scheme. there are alot of bright colors like yellows and greens, but especaly blue- many cold colors. all of the peices have verry intricate details on them as well- tiny flowers are common, designs in backdrops, leaves, swirls, verry orgainic shapes, and verry verry small details. plants and/or animals as a focus seem rather common as well. theres not a single peice that doesnt have some knid of flower on it.

I would indentify these pieces to be from India because they use the same colors in almost every piece; blue, yellow, white, & green. Also by the shapes and designs.

I would identify these ceramic pieces as Indian pieces because of the color schemes and the patterns or themes of blues, yellows, whites, and greens. I also noticed the majority of them have some sort of plant in them and they are very detailed. Also I noticed that they also use animals in their pieces along with flowers. I think their goal is to add nature to all their pieces because it represents their culture and what they are around every day. They look very organic and kind of historical some look like they are from today and some look kind of ancient.

By looking at these images, I might identify all of these as Indian pieces because they are very colorful and unique. According to these images, they use a lot of blue in their ceramics. They also seem to use a lot of flower-like designs. These pieces are very detailed and creative.
